Celebrating 1,000 Fans on Hubpages: Best Moments

This hub was hard to write so it's a 2 part hub. Last time I wrote a hub about followers/fans, it was about reaching 500 fans. It's wan't easy then trying to remember my favorite hubbers and being sure to pay tribute to them for helping me stay committed to writing on hubpages. But now a few months later, here I am writing a hub about reaching 1,000+ fans on hubpages so this get even more difficult.

This hub is written from me to you (even if I forget to mention your name), but I am going to do some name dropping here. It's written as a "best moments" type of hub; best comments, favorite hubs, etc. I write on hubpages as a hobby, a getaway, a learning experience, community and friendships, even money, and most of all helping someone or getting help myself- it truly is a reciprocated experience for me.

Currently, I have about 30+ new comments that come into me each day and I try to write 1-2 hubs each week. I've got my hands full- and that's just my life on hubpages. For some who know me better, they know I have a 3 yr old and a couple part-time writing gigs as well. I'm a busy woman. What does all this mean to you? Well, I try to remain genuine with each person that comments. If someone takes the time to comment, I take the time to answer.

Basically, people have issues with their families, and want to be nude with a good girl or bad boy. People read anything about sex and personal issues that effect them- it sells (and it's fun to write).

I want to list some of my favorite comments and even some sexy and funny moments here:

My Accidental Nude Beach Experience: "after a week (staying near a nude beach) me and my buddy, Larry are walkng along the beach just talking and I go.. "Larry either Im turning gay or Im sick". Larry looks shocked and goes "whaaaat?". I point out a rather stunning spanish lady without clothes and go " see her" he nods. "I looked at her and my first thought was... If you think the way to a man's heart is through sex or food, you're wrong- it's through cars. The following is a hub I wrote using the most provacative approach to cars you've ever experienced and I definitely got a rise out of a few car enthusiasts.

On a serious note, people make some good points on some of my political and social issues hubs.

Obama The winner of American Idol: "I pretty much agree on your analysis of American voters. I've said for a long time that, rather than too few, too many people vote. They vote because they think it's the right thing to do without also concluding that knowing the issues is also the right thing to do. Americans vote for the most recent commercial, talk radio slant or print article that hits their hot button–which is usually the economy, even if they know next to nothing about economics. Politically Correct or Too Sensitive: "It is naive to think that people from so many races, backgrounds, cultures and of varying persuasions can exist without offending one another. We repeatedly offend each other unintentionally. What we need is a greater willingness to understand more about our neighbors and learning how to co-exist amicably. PC is simply a form of dishonesty. God Dropped me: "Izettl, hope I spelled that right--that's your problem, btw, God just can't pronounce your name and you pissed him off. Ha ha." winsome

God Dropped me: "As soon as I hit the Post Comment button, I will pray in your behalf. My batting average has been real good in prayer.Things are going to turn around and then I'll say ..."I told you so!"" themanwithnopants. This comment led to a great friendship with this hubber. Poor guy- now I find the need to consistently come to him with all my problems.

I've been accused of many things and called many names (sexist, narrow-minded, I'm going to hell, religious fanatic, etc) on some of my hubs, but it's all my fault. I choose to write about topics that are controversial, not politically correct, and not easy to talk about. If I can't get you to take a look at something differently, think about something for a while, whether you disagree or agree, I've not accomplished my goal here. I don't want you clinging onto familiar and to become complacent and apathetic about life. This comes with it's fair share of controversy, but I can handle myself.

Honorable Mention goes to Mark Knowles for being the rudest hubber I've met, and someone who knows it all- for God sakes part of the man's name is "know". Actually this very popular hubber called me the most names, was the most rude, and cut me down to size (figuratively speaking because I am 6' and I'm guessing he's about 5'8) like nobody's business.
