You can now find me at Honestlylaura.com

It's nice to meet you- I'm a Freelancer and Stay-at-home mom with a background in Psychology (education and research). I stay busy keeping things alive such as my kids, plants (I love gardening), and our 3 rabbits, 2 dogs, and 2 fish.

Writing is a selfish act for me (it's my drug of choice). My journey here began with one heartfelt hub/article about a struggle within my own life. I thought no one would read it and now that piece has over 500 comments...and growing. Instantly I became addicted to writing about tough topics; sometimes taboo or controversial, sometimes motivational and informational, but ALL relatable and often helpful.

I appreciate my readers very much. Some have become my good friends away from Hubpages- I have found a sense of community here in this casual, non-pretentious atmosphere. You may find my style cynical or entertaining, but I'm here to be real and open and love a good discussion even if we have to agree to disagree.

"If I don't write to empty my mind, I go mad".
